Issue Auto ID Cards

You can issue Auto ID Cards to provide insured with required proof of insurance that they can carry in their wallet or vehicle.

Note: This article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge, you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.

  1. Locate the account and access the Policies area.
  2. A list of policies for the selected client displays. Change the policies that display in the list if necessary.
  3. You can change the columns that display in the list if necessary.

Note: Click the Sort Descending link to sort the policies by date starting with the most recent.

  1. Click on the policy in the list.

    Note: Monoline and package policies are in bold. Lines of business included in package policies are not bolded; they are indented and listed below the package policies to which they belong.
  1. Do one of the following:
  1. The Auto ID Card Detail screen displays. The name and address default. If there is no address on record for the account in question, enter the Address.

    Note: Entering the address on this screen does not add the address to the client's account.
  2. Optionally enter a Summary.
  3. In the Agency/Company section, the Company Code defaults but can be changed if necessary.
  4. Select the NAIC or Company/state code radio button if necessary.

    Note: For Arizona, if the Company/state code radio button does not default, it must be selected to include the ADOT number.
  5. Fill in information on the tabs:

Note: You must fill out the Distribution tab.

  1. Click Finish or press [Enter] to print the Auto ID card(s). Print this as you would any other document.

    Note: If the number of pages to be printed meets or exceeds 1000, Applied Epic prompts you to save the PDF file locally; from there it can be printed more efficiently.

    Click Cancel to exit the workflow without printing, emailing, or faxing any auto ID cards. You are prompted: "Do you wish to discard changes?" Click Yes.

    Click Preview to view the auto ID cards on the screen before printing them and make any necessary adjustments.
