Quote Information

New and remarketed quotes begin in the Quote Information window, where you can enter basic policy type, source, and structure information. To save time, you can set defaults for many of the fields on this screen in Field Default Configuration if your selections will be the same for most quotes.

New Business Quote

If you are accessing the Quotes list for a client with no existing quotes, the Quote Information window displays automatically for you to start a new business quote. Otherwise, click the Add button beside the Quotes list.

  1. On the Quote Information window, select a Policy type from the dropdown menu.
  2. The Description defaults based on the policy type selected, but you can edit it if necessary.
  3. Enter the Effective date for the policy.
  4. Optionally select the Policy source that motivated the client to contact you.
  5. In the Structure section, the Agency and Branch associated to the client default, but you can change these selections if necessary.
  6. Select the Department if it does not default.
  7. Select the Profit center if it does not default.
  8. Click Add to continue to the Quoting Session screen to enter risk detail for the quote.

    Click Cancel to return to the Quotes list without adding the quote.

Remarketed Quote

To remarket a policy from the Quotes list, Quoting Session screen, or Quoting Results screen, click the Remarket Existing Policy link label in the header and select a policy from the dropdown menu to open the Remarket – Quote Information window. The Imported Policy Details section displays read-only information about the existing policy. You can also remarket an expiring policy from Renewals Manager or from a client's Policies list (using the Remarket action).

If your agency has enabled Data Prefill, you can use this capability to populate driver or dwelling information automatically on a remarketed quote. The Start Data Prefill window displays when you click Add in the Remarket – Quote Information window. Click here for more information on performing a Data Prefill lookup.

  1. In the New Quote section, the Policy type and Description default from the existing policy. Revise them if necessary.
  2. The expiration date of the previous policy term defaults. Revise the Effective date of the policy if necessary.
  3. Optionally select the Policy source that motivated the client to contact you.
  4. The Structure defaults from the existing policy. Revise these selections if necessary.
  5. Click Add to continue to the Quoting Session screen to enter risk detail for the quote.

    Click Cancel to return to the Quotes list without adding the quote.
