Mail Labels
Note: To generate mail labels, it is recommended that you instead use the simpler option of selecting an output destination of Word Mailmerge. See Mailmerges with Word for further information. Please check the Applied Compatibility Grid to ensure compatibility with your version of Microsoft Office.
When you run a report/search with an Output Destination of Mail Labels, you are presented with the Label Formats window.
- Select the desired radio button.
- Send output to an existing file: Overwrite the existing mail label file saved on your TAM drive. If multiple files exist, ensure the appropriate file is selected.
- Send output to a new file name: Save the results as a new mail label file. Enter the name in the File Name field.
- Send output to a temporary file: Save the results to a temp folder on your local station rather than to the TAM drive.
- Click OK.
- If you opted to create a new file, you are prompted, "Ok to create new file?" Click Yes.
- You are prompted, "Do you wish to print the file structure?" Click Yes or No.
- The Label Designer screen displays. Controls and actions on this screen are very similar to those in Report Designer. See the Report Designer section of the help file for further information.
