Activity List
Activity entries in TAM serve as a built-in record keeping and appointment system. To view the Activity List for a particular entity, do the following:
- At Home Base, click Clients & Files.
- From the dropdown menu above the list, select the entity type.
- Select the desired client or file in the list.
- Click the Activity List button.
The number or code and name of the selected entity display at the top of the screen. Navigate between the following tabs:
- All: View all activities for the selected entity.
- Open: View all open activities for the selected entity.
- Closed: View all closed activities for the selected client or file.
- Filter: View a limited list of activities based on criteria you define in a filter. See Filter Activity List for more information.
Activities are listed by the Date Entered, Follow-Up Date, Who Code, Activity Category, Description, Company, Producer, Cls (person who or system that closed the activity), and Drill Down indicator. (For more information on customizing and navigating this list, see List Management.)
Click Previous or Next to view the Activity List for the previous or next entity in the list.
Click Detail to display the Activity Detail for the selected activity.
Click Options to access the following workflows:
(The rest of the options listed vary depending on the entity type you are viewing.)
Click Cancel to return to the selected Clients & Files list.
Activity Detail
Use the following steps to access the Activity Detail from Home Base.
- Click Clients & Files.
- From the dropdown menu above the list, select the entity type.
- Select the desired client or file in the list and click the Activity List button.
- Select an activity record in the list and click Detail.
Enter or revise information as desired.
Different Activity Details are available for Open and Closed activities.
Open Activity Detail
- Entered: Date and time entered (cannot be revised)
Note: If you connect to TAM via the Terminal Services Client, you must select the time zone of your current location so that the time displays correctly. See Define Local Time Zone.
- Operator: Operator ID (cannot be revised)
- Plan: Marketing plan
- Type: Policy type
- CSR: Customer Service Representative
- Company: Company code
- Producer: Producer code
- Broker: Broker code
- Category: Activity category
- Description: Activity category description
- Slot: If the activity is associated with a policy, the slot number is the number assigned to the policy to indicate its position in the client’s Policy List.
- Policy #: Policy number (Displays if the activity is associated with a policy)
- Amount: Total amount associated with activity item (if any)
- Add Note: Type in this field to add a new note to the activity
- Existing: Miscellaneous note(s) previously added to activity
- Open: Activity status (Yes=Open, No=Closed)
- Who: User code and name of person assigned to follow up
- Follow-Up: Date, day, and time to follow up on activity item
- Action: Further Action code
- On: Date to initiate Further Action
- Sub ID: If applicable, the Submission ID assigned to the policy by Real-Time
Click OK after making any revisions. Click Yes to confirm the revision and return to the Activity List.
Note: The OK button is disabled until a revision is made.
Click Options to view the options available from the Activity Detail.
Click Cancel to stop editing or viewing Activity Detail and return to the Activity List.
Closed Activity Detail
- Entered: Date and time entered (cannot be revised)

- Plan: Marketing plan
- Type: Policy type
- CSR: Customer Service Representative

- Amount: Total amount associated with activity item (if any)
- Add Note: Type in this field to add a new note to the activity
- Existing: Miscellaneous note(s) previously added to activity
- Open: Activity status (Yes-Open, No=Closed)
- Successful: Closed activity status (Yes=Closed successfully, No=Closed unsuccessfully)
- Closed By: User code of person who or system that closed the activity item
- On: Date activity was closed
- Reference: Policy number of policy to which activity item was attached
Click OK after making any revisions. Click Yes to confirm the revision and return to the Activity List.
Note: The OK button is disabled until a revision is made.
Click Options to view the options available from the Activity Detail.
Click Cancel to abort editing or viewing Activity Detail and return to the Activity List.
