TAM Reports enables you to run and print reports that summarise selected agency data and activity. By selecting criteria, you can run each report in a variety of ways, creating a report as broad or specific as necessary.
Both TAM Reports and TAM Classic Reports are available: the title bar denotes what version of the reports you are currently in. TAM Reports opens by default and all reports are available from this area. To access TAM Reports, at Home Base click the Reports button.
The TAM Reports screen is made up of the following elements. Click a link to jump to the description.
Open Classic Reports - Opens TAM Classic Reports. By default, only reports that require TAM Classic Reports to run display.
Show All Reports - (Only available from within TAM Classic Reports) Makes all reports available to run from within TAM Classic Reports.
Wizards
TAM Reports contains several interactive help screens, called Wizards, which allow the user to create and run reports and searches on a step-by-step basis.
The following options are available from the Help menu.
TAM Reports Help: View TAM Reports online help.
Print Memory Check: This feature is for use under the direction of the Applied Systems Support Department for troubleshooting purposes. View the name, type, contents, and status of each currently defined variable and variable array, as well as the number of variables defined, the number of bytes used, and the number of additional variables available. (TAM Classic Reports only)
Print Database Status: This feature is for use under the direction of the Applied Systems Support Department for troubleshooting purposes. View table and index file information for the current TAM Reports environment. (TAM Classic Reportsonly)
Setup Information: View information regarding the location of TAM files and the amount of memory used.

Button Bar
Nine buttons are available on the TAM Reports button bar. Click the desired button to access the program option. The function of each button is summarised below.
Run: Click to run the selected report or search. Choose to view the report output on the screen or send it to the printer.
Reports: Click to display the following standard reports in the Report Type window.
Management: Reports related to agency policy activity and production.
Accounting: Reports related to client transactions and insurer payables.
Activity: Reports related to Activity File entries.
Forms: Reports related to forms, such as applications, binders, and change requests.
General Ledger: Financial and voucher reports related to the agency's financial status.
Searches: Click to display the following search groups in the Report Type window. (TAM Classic Reports only)
Search - Customers: Search customer data, including activity, attachment, claim, contact, policy, and transaction information.
Search - Prospects: Search prospect data, including activity, attachment, contact, and policy information.
Search - Files: Search agent, insurer, employee, finance company, other interest, introducer, or supplier information.
Search - General Ledger: Search General Ledger account balance information as well as information on deposits, withdrawals, and journal entries.
Search - Miscellaneous: Access searches that do not fall under any of the preceding four categories.
User-Defined: Click to display the user-defined reports in the Report Type window. Any pre-defined TAM report or search can be saved as a user-defined report.
Month-End: Click to display and run the Month-End accounting and management reports installed in TAM.
Queue: Click to display and run queued reports.
Advanced: Advanced Reporting is a UK Addition that can be purchased separately for use with Applied TAM. In order to use this feature, links must be set up in Utility Manager > System Administrative > Define TAM Links.
