Create New Mail Message

  1. From Home Base, click the New Mail button.
  2. Enter the name of addressee in the To field or Select Email Recipients.
  3. If desired, enter additional names in the Cc/Bcc fields to copy the email to, or click Cc/Bcc to open the address book and select additional email recipients.
  4. Click the Subject field and type a short description of the email. The Subject becomes the title of the email window's title bar.
  5. Click the blank text box (area of window below the Subject line) and type the text of the email.
  6. Click Send to send the email or Send & Attach to send the email and attach a copy to an entity.

Options

TAM Mail supports HTML formatting and custom signatures. HTML email support allows you to use rich text formatting, custom signatures, banners, and more to enable your correspondence to look more professional and display your branding within TAM. Custom signatures must be set up in Microsoft Outlook, and will then display automatically in new outgoing emails.

The following options are available when creating a new message using an extended MAPI program.

Insert Files: Click this button to attach non-TAM files to an email.

Insert TAM Files: Click this button to attach TAM files to an email.

Address Book: Click this button to search for recipients in your address book.

TAM Contacts: Click this button to select a recipient from contacts entered in TAM.

Importance: High: Click this button to indicate that the message has an importance level of high.

Importance: Low: Click this button to indicate that this message has an importance level of low.

Spell Check: Click this button to check the message for spelling errors.

Name Check: Click this button to check recipients whose names you entered manually against the address book and TAM contacts.
