From the dropdown menu above the list, select Brokers.
Select the desired broker in the list.
Click the Detail button.
Revise the broker information as desired.
At the top of the screen, enter address and contact information for the broker. You may want to note the following:
The Attn field can be used for an extension of the broker's name or for an additional address line.
The Zip field is searchable. Double click in the field and enter or select the appropriate zip code. The city and state then fill in automatically.
The following fields are available for broker contact numbers:

After entering the broker's email address, you can click the email button to email the broker directly from this screen.
After entering the broker's web address, you can click the hyperlink button to launch the broker's website in your default web browser.
Use the Hdg field to type the broker's name as you would like it to be pulled into correspondence (form letters, proposals, etc.). Do not include the word "Dear" or any punctuation.
Use the Note field to enter any additional information regarding the broker. This is a free-form field, but the data entered here can be accessed in searches and reports.
Double click in the Code field to assign a code to the broker. The Code field contains a user-defined two-digit code used to classify clients and files in TAM. Examples include Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Benefits. To add a new code from this screen, double click the Code field and click Add. You are prompted to enter the Code as well as a Description. Click OK.
Enter the broker's social security number in the SS # field.
Enter the broker's FEIN #.
In the field, enter for English or for French. This is the language in which invoices, memos, and forms/applications for the broker will print.
Select or to determine whether to apply a budget plan on invoices.
Select or to determine whether to generate and apply service charges.
Use the Comments field to record additional pertinent information.
Check the Receives 1099 form checkbox if the broker is a third-party earning more than $600 from your agency and requires a 1099 form for tax purposes.
Select the Statement format to use for this broker.
Open Item: A detailed statement format displaying each item, all applyments to each item, each item's resulting balance, and the total balance of all items.
Balance Forward: A simpler statement format that displays the beginning and ending balance along with a list of all transactions but doesn't display the balance for each item.
Simplified: More detailed than Balance Forward but simpler than Open Item, includes the balance for each transaction but doesn't show the individual applyments.
No Statement
The following fields are informational only and cannot be revised.
Notes: Number of notes entered for this broker.
Activity: Number of open activities for this broker.
Transactions/Balance: The bottom of the screen displays the dates, types, descriptions, and amounts of the last two transactions entered on this account, as well as the resulting account balance.
