The Batch Transmissions options allow an agency to electronically transmit queued items to company(ies), as well as receive items from company(ies).
This option allows an agent to transmit queued forms to company(ies). The following describes the processes completed by Applied TAM after the transmission of the data.
From Home Base of The Agency Manager, click the Utilities button.
Expand the Company Interface treeview branch.
Expand the Batch Processing treeview branch.
Click Transmit to IVANS, then click the arrow to continue.
Click OK to run.
Only eDocs & Messages sent from your company(ies) are processed into your system from the IVANS mailbox. This allows for quicker processing because you do not have to wait for policies and claims to process as well.

Expand the Batch Processing treeview.

Click the to continue. eDocs & Messages process from the IVANS mailbox.
This option is for processing download files received from companies that do not use the IVANS/AT&T Global Network (AGNS). When this option is selected, the TAM software checks to see if any RECV-ACD.xxx (where xxx is the file number) files exist on the \APPS subdirectory. If these files exist, the policies stored in these files are updated, created, or moved to the Suspense file in the TAM. The procedures that TAM runs on these files are the same as the procedures for download files received through the Batch Transmissions option. (See Updating Policies through Download.) Some companies have developed programs for the agency to run that retrieve these files and place them in the appropriate directory with the name format listed above. Applied Systems does not support any software provided by the company. The company advises if these programs are available and how they should be installed. It is the company’s responsibility to follow this naming convention and process if they are not using the IVANS/AT&T Global Network (AGNS).
