Campaigns

Campaigns allow you to send the right information to the right clients and prospects at the right time. You can create a standard campaign or a drip campaign by selecting individual pieces of content from the extensive Content Library (including content your organization has uploaded to My Content and customized content saved to Edited Content), and add sections containing your own text, images, and/or links. Drip campaigns allow you to send a series of automated emails to lists of contacts on a schedule you define, including contacts added to those lists after the campaign has begun.

Alternatively, you can select from expertly curated Pre-Built Campaigns, which include premade monthly newsletters, compliance and legislative updates, and other timely content. Pre-Built Drip Campaigns contain a premade series of scheduled emails that you can customize for common workflows such as reaching out to prospects, welcoming new clients, and cross-selling.

Use Dynamic Branding and Servicing to send a drip campaign or pre-built drip campaign with recipient-specific From and Reply To email addresses and signatures (based on each client's account-level Servicing Contacts in Applied Epic).

Once you enter basic information for a campaign, select one or more lists of recipients, and add content (if necessary), simply schedule the delivery of your campaign or edition (depending on the type of campaign). Campaigns you own only send to contacts that you have access to in Applied Epic.

Once you have sent or scheduled a campaign, the Reports and Metrics area provides clickable metrics to aid you in maintaining accurate contact information and refining your marketing strategies and goals.

The Campaigns menu contains the following options:

The Campaigns and My Campaigns pages contain these options:

You must create at least one list of recipients before creating any type of campaign. Lists in Draft status are not available for selection; you must save them first. If necessary, you can create a list of employees for an internal campaign, but you cannot combine employees and client contacts in the same list. However, you can select multiple lists for each campaign. Campaigns inherit structure access from their associated lists. If a campaign contains at least one list with the All Structures option selected, the campaign is visible to all users regardless of their Applied Epic structure access.

You can customize campaigns by adding and arranging sections of content to meet your needs. For example, you can include an existing article from the Content Library, a modified article from your Edited Content area, a piece of your brokerage’s uploaded content, and a message specific to your brokerage in different sections of the same campaign. You can use merge variables in Subject lines for standard and pre-built campaigns and in custom content to add your organization's information or personalize content for client contacts (merge variables are not available for employee contacts). You can also add images and hyperlinks to custom content.

Applying a Branding Profile adds your brokerage's unique color(s), logo(s), and/or tagline(s) to the message, improving visual recognition. You can send a test email to see the campaign as a recipient would.

You can create standard campaigns that send only once or on a recurring basis. Recurring standard campaigns can use the same content or different content for each edition. You cannot change a recurring standard campaign's delivery schedule once the first edition is sent.

If the campaign you are creating is similar to an existing campaign, you can save time by copying it. Remember, however, that copying a standard campaign also copies the original campaign’s frequency, which cannot be altered. If you need to make a copy of a pre-built campaign (for example, if you want to send the same campaign separately to a different list), you must select it from the Pre-Built Campaigns area a second time and set up another campaign based on it. You cannot copy pre-built drip campaigns.

You can hide Active or Completed campaigns that you no longer need to access regularly. Hiding campaigns removes them from the default Campaigns list, but you can display them by selecting the Show Hidden checkbox. Click the Show link to restore a hidden campaign to the default list. Hiding a campaign does not affect any scheduled distributions.
